Obama and McCain – What If The Tables Were Turned??

Posted in Uncategorized on October 20, 2008 by Noli

So what exactly would be going on with the election if Michelle and Barack had the same background as the McCain’s?  If Barack had gone to the Naval Academy but finished at the bottom of his class, would America think he was fit to be President of the United States?  If Michelle had had an addiction to prescription drugs and stole drugs from a non profit that she worked with, would America think she was fit to be the first lady?  Some things never change…Black folks need to be TWICE as good to get their just do…and then stuff is still questionable.

Shirley Chisholm

Shirley Chisholm (1924 – 2005), an advocate for women and people of color, was the first Black woman in Congress, being elected to Brooklyn’s 12th Congressional District of the House in 1968.  She was the first Black person and one of the first women to run for the presidential nomination from a major party in 1972. Though she didn’t win the nomination, she was always very respected, having been a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the National Organization of Women.  She was a bad woman!
